I woke up one morning curled up in unbearable shivers. The air was foreign and dusty. The radio was singing about possibilities. The glass on the table had a spider web crack. Water leaked from this crack. Droplets fell without reason. They melted into the wood and left a translucent glitter on the surface. I liked the state between sleep and wakefulness – my eyes closed, head spun senseless – vertigo.
Better to lie in bed and wait under the covers.
